RemitX is a web based transaction platform designed to streamline and simplify the processing of Local and International remittances by providing a single remittance processing platform that will interface with multiple International and Regional Money Transfer Operators.
It is a web based branch level system developed for banks and remittance companies to originate and distribute remittance transactions. It provides a single user interface for the branch personnel to access remittance data from multiple remittance service providers whereby tellers can Send or Payout.

Remittance Exchange
The RemitX exchange allows banks and remittance companies to quickly and easily connect to foreign remittance partners with minimum programming. The gateway manages the data communication protocols with the various systems of remittance partners, performs message formatting / dissection and data mapping of message fields.
Remittances Enabled via POS
International remittances made available for payout via MobiPOS. Customers can withdraw ALL or Partial amounts on their inbound remittances. The funds will be stored in a KCB enabled MobiPay account and the funds can be used for retail purchase or can be withdrawn at any agency or MobiPay POS device.
Options offered by Remitx:
- Walk In – Customers use both KCB Locations and Agency Banking locations.
- Direct Deposit – Remitx can enable Direct Deposit for registered customers.
- Payment or Credit Card Credit – Remitx can credit any payment, prepaid or stored value card issued to remittance receivers.
- Mobile Wallet Distribution – Remitx is Payment distribution into Mobile Wallets. remitx is integrated to Telco wallets and can enable distribution into any mobile wallet ( Mobipay, Mpesa, Zap, Yucash, Orange Money). This is presently in trials for several International Money Transfer Companies.
Remitx presently has 10 Intl partners Live or integrated needing distribution through Kenyan banks.
